How to play Hem Of Her Dress: key, chords and progression

Hem Of Her Dress by First Aid Kit sits in C major (no sharps or flats), and you need 3 chords to play it: C, F and G.

The progression the song keeps returning to is C – F – C – G (I – IV – I – V in C major). In solfa, that is doh – fah – doh – soh. Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 3rd fret and play the shapes A, D, E (100% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 67% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
