How to play The Holy Mountain: key, chords and progression

The Holy Mountain by Poppy sits in F major (one flat: B♭), and you need 11 chords to play it: Bb, Em, F, Dm, B, E, Gm, Eb, G, A and Db.

Most of the song cycles through Bb – Em – F – Dm (IV – vii – I – vi in F major). In solfa, that is fah – te – doh – lah. Get these 4 changes smooth and the rest comes quickly.

Good to know: on guitar, Bb, F, B, Gm and Eb need a barre or movable shape. Take the change into them slowly at first; piano and ukulele players have it easier.
