How to play Entropy: key, chords and progression

Entropy by Daniel Caesar is built around D major (two sharps: F♯, C♯), with 5 chords in all: Amaj7, Dmaj7, Gmaj7, Cmaj7 and Bbmaj7.

The progression the song keeps returning to is Amaj7 – Dmaj7 – Gmaj7 – Cmaj7 (Vmaj7 – Imaj7 – IVmaj7 – ♭VIImaj7 in D major). Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Beginner-friendly: almost every chord here is an open shape on guitar: no capo, no barre chords needed.
