How to play Keep On Smiling: key, chords and progression

Keep On Smiling by James Lloyd is centred on E major (four sharps: F♯, C♯, G♯, D♯). The song uses 4 chords: A, E, Bb and F.

Most of the song cycles through A – E – A (IV – I – IV in E major). In solfa, that is fah – doh – fah. Get these 3 changes smooth and the rest comes quickly.

Good to know: Bb and F are played as barre or movable shapes on guitar. Practise the change into them slowly; on piano and ukulele the same chords are easier.
