How to play The Blessing: key, chords and progression

The Blessing by Elevation Worship is written in C major (no sharps or flats) and moves through 8 chords: C, F/C, C/E, Gsus, Am, F, G and G/B.

Most of the song cycles through G – Am – F – C (V – vi – IV – I in C major), a rotation of the “four-chord” pop progression (I–V–vi–IV). In solfa, that is soh – lah – fah – doh. Get these 4 changes smooth and the rest comes quickly.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 5th fret and play the shapes G, C, Dsus4, Em, D (100% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 80% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
