[Intro]
G C

[Verse 1]
     G
When you're speaking with me, l feel like I'm at sea

Nothing is moving but the pull of these old sleeves
    C
I'm waiting and all I've done is wait
   G
My grandma's a lady, she was in the navy
                                                     C
She remembers everything but what does she daydream about?
G
I'll learn a new chord to go through a new door
                                                        C
But there's nothing I can play to just make you hear me out

[Chorus]
             D
I'll let you leave, leave,
                           Em
leave my heart in your old jeans
             D
I'll let you leave, leave,
                            C
leave my heart beneath your dreams

[Verse 2]
    G
You beautiful thing, you damn thing

You took me on a ride and you told me what to think
C
I let it happen, I'll let you happen to me
                                G
Until the sky was red, I waited till you slept

Your clothes were on my floor, I looked at them like clouds
                          C
No, I would never ask for more

Than whatever you are right now

[Chorus]
             D
I'll let you leave, leave,
                           Em
leave my heart in your old jeans
             D
I'll let you leave, leave,
                            C
leave my heart beneath your dreams
             D
I'll let you leave, leave,
                           Em
leave my heart in your old jeans
             D
I'll let you leave, leave,
                            C
leave my heart beneath your dreams
