How to play U Plus Me Equals Heart: key, chords and progression

These are U Plus Me Equals Heart chords by Olivia Rodrigo for Piano and Ukulele.

U Plus Me Equals Heart by Olivia Rodrigo is centred on G major (one sharp: F♯). The song uses 5 chords: G, Em, C, Am and D.

Listen for C – G – Em – C (IV – I – vi – IV in G major): the song comes back to it again and again. In solfa, that is fah – doh – lah – fah. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Beginner-friendly: on guitar every chord is an open shape, which makes this a good song to learn early on.
