How to play Scenic Drive: key, chords and progression

These are the chords for Scenic Drive by Khalid feat. Ari Lennox and Smino on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard

Scenic Drive by Khalid feat. Ari Lennox and Smino is centred on C minor (three flats: B♭, E♭, A♭). The song uses 3 chords: Cm, Dm and Gm.

The backbone of the song is Dm – Cm – Dm – Gm (ii – i – ii – v in C minor). Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 3rd fret and play the shapes Am, Bm, Em (67% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 33% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
