How to play Be Kind: key, chords and progression

These are the chords for Be Kind by Zak Abel on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard

Be Kind by Zak Abel is centred on B♭ major (two flats: B♭, E♭). The song uses 4 chords: Bb, Eb, F and Bbm.

The backbone of the song is Bb – Eb – Bb – F (I – IV – I – V in B♭ major). In solfa, that is doh – fah – doh – soh. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 1st fret and play the shapes A, D, E, Am (100% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 0% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
