How to play High As A Kite: key, chords and progression

High As A Kite by Weezer is written in B minor (two sharps: F♯, C♯) and moves through 13 chords: G, D, A, A7/G, D/C#, Bm, Bm/A, G/F#, F#, Dm, D# and Cm and 1 more.

Listen for Bm – F# – G – A (i – V – VI – VII in B minor): the song comes back to it again and again. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Good to know: on guitar, Bm, Bm/A, F#, D# and Cm need a barre or movable shape. Take the change into them slowly at first; piano and ukulele players have it easier.
