Even they do fade away

How to play Cheers: key, chords and progression

These are Cheers chords by Ward Vandepoele on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard.

Cheers by Ward Vandepoele sits in A major (three sharps: F♯, C♯, G♯), and you need 4 chords to play it: D, A, Esus4 and E.

The progression the song keeps returning to is D – A – E – A (IV – I – V – I in A major). In solfa, that is fah – doh – soh – doh. Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Beginner-friendly: every chord is an open chord on guitar, so you can play it without a capo or barre chords.
