How to play Miracle: key, chords and progression

Miracle by Tip Stevens is centred on B minor (two sharps: F♯, C♯). The song uses 10 chords: Bm, Gmaj7, F#m, Em, A, Dmaj7, Gmaj9, A6, Bmadd9 and Em9.

The progression the song keeps returning to is Gmaj9 – A6 – Bm – Bmadd9 (VI – VII6 – i – i in B minor). Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Good to know: Bm, F#m, Gmaj9, Bmadd9 and Em9 are played as barre or movable shapes on guitar. Practise the change into them slowly; on piano and ukulele the same chords are easier.
