How to play Sit Around And Miss You: key, chords and progression

Sit Around And Miss You by The Black Keys is built around D major (two sharps: F♯, C♯), with 6 chords in all: A, C, D, G, Bm and Dm.

The progression the song keeps returning to is Bm – A – G – A (vi – V – IV – V in D major), a minor-key rock and pop loop. In solfa, that is lah – soh – fah – soh. Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Beginner-friendly: almost every chord here is an open shape on guitar: no capo, no barre chords needed.
