How to play Get On The Line: key, chords and progression

Get On The Line by Sweet is built around G major (one sharp: F♯), with 7 chords in all: D, F#m, G, A, C, Bm and G7.

The backbone of the song is D – C – G – D (V – IV – I – V in G major). In solfa, that is soh – fah – doh – soh. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Good to know: F#m and Bm are the tricky part on guitar (barre or movable shapes). Slow the change down until it is clean; on piano and ukulele they are simpler.
