How to play Change Your Mind: key, chords and progression
Change Your Mind by Steven Universe is written in E♭ major (three flats: B♭, E♭, A♭) and moves through 3 chords: Eb, Bb and Fm.
The backbone of the song is Eb – Bb – Fm – Eb (I – V – ii – I in E♭ major). In solfa, that is doh – soh – reh – doh. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.
Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 1st fret and play the shapes D, A, Em (100% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 0% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
