How to play Steel Commanders: key, chords and progression

Steel Commanders by Sabaton is in the key of E minor (one sharp: F♯). The song uses 10 chords: Em, C, D, G, Am, F#m, Bsus4, B, F and Dm.

Listen for Em – C – D – Em (i – VI – VII – i in E minor): the song comes back to it again and again. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Good to know: on guitar, F#m, Bsus4, B and F need a barre or movable shape. Take the change into them slowly at first; piano and ukulele players have it easier.
