How to play Fumbling Prayer: key, chords and progression

To play Fumbling Prayer by RY X, think in D major (two sharps: F♯, C♯). It takes 5 chords: Em, Bm, A, D and Dm.

The progression the song keeps returning to is Bm – A – Em – D (vi – V – ii – I in D major). In solfa, that is lah – soh – reh – doh. Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Beginner-friendly: on guitar almost every chord is an open shape, which makes this a good song to learn early on.
