How to play Ask Of God Female Version: key, chords and progression

Ask Of God Female Version by Nik Day is written in G major (one sharp: F♯) and moves through 5 chords: G, C, Em, D and Am.

Listen for C – G – D – G (IV – I – V – I in G major): the song comes back to it again and again. In solfa, that is fah – doh – soh – doh. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Beginner-friendly: on guitar every chord is an open shape, which makes this a good song to learn early on.
