How to play State Of Mind Live: key, chords and progression

These are State Of Mind Live chords by Mike Campbell, The Dirty Knobs on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard.

State Of Mind Live by Mike Campbell, The Dirty Knobs keeps coming home to C major (no sharps or flats). You need 5 chords: G, C/G, C, F and D.

The backbone of the song is C – G – C/G – G (I – V – I – V in C major). In solfa, that is doh – soh – doh – soh. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 5th fret and play the shapes D, G, C, A (100% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 75% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
