How to play Stone Cold Crazy: key, chords and progression

Stone Cold Crazy by Metallica is in the key of F major (one flat: B♭). The song uses 3 chords: Gm, C and Bb.

The backbone of the song is Gm – Bb – Gm – C (ii – IV – ii – V in F major). In solfa, that is reh – fah – reh – soh. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 3rd fret and play the shapes Em, A, G (100% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 33% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
