How to play Margarita: key, chords and progression

These are Margarita chords by Marc Jordan on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard.

Margarita by Marc Jordan keeps coming home to E minor (one sharp: F♯). You need 27 chords: Em9, A6, Bm7, Bm7/A, A/G, G, Em7, D/F#, A/B, B, A7/E and Gmaj9 and 15 more.

The backbone of the song is Em9 – A7/E – Em9 – Gmaj9 (i9 – IV7 – i9 – III in E minor). Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Good to know: Em9, Bm7, Bm7/A, B and Gmaj9 are played as barre or movable shapes on guitar. Practise the change into them slowly; on piano and ukulele the same chords are easier.
