How to play Best Friend: key, chords and progression

Best Friend by Logic sits in G major (one sharp: F♯), and you need 4 chords to play it: D#, G, D and C.

Listen for G – D – C – G (I – V – IV – I in G major): the song comes back to it again and again. In solfa, that is doh – soh – fah – doh. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Good to know: D# is the tricky part on guitar (barre or movable shapes). Slow the change down until it is clean; on piano and ukulele it is simpler.
