How to play Closed On Sunday: key, chords and progression

Closed On Sunday by Kanye West is in the key of A minor (no sharps or flats). The song uses 5 chords: Am, Dm7, Esus4, Am/E and F.

The progression the song keeps returning to is Am – Dm7 – Esus4 – Am/E (i – iv7 – Vsus4 – i in A minor). Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Good to know: F is played as barre or movable shapes on guitar. Practise the change into it slowly; on piano and ukulele the same chords are easier.
