[Verse 1]
Fm7
It was just two lovers
Sittin' in the car,
listening to Blonde,
E7
fallin' for each other
Pink and orange skies,
feelin' super childish,
   A7
no Donald Glover
Missed call from my mother
       G#m7
Like, "Where you at tonight?"
Got no alibi

[Pre-Chorus]
I was all alone with the
A7
love of my life
          E7
She's got glitter for skin
                       Fm7
My radiant beam in the night
                E7
I don't need no light to see you

[Chorus]
A7
Shine
                 E7
It's your golden hour (Oh, oh)
              A7
You slow down time
               E7 Em
In your golden hour (Oh, oh)

[Verse 2]
        Fm7
We were just two lovers
Feet up on the dash, drivin'
nowhere fast,
E7
burnin’ through the summer
Radio on blast,
make the moment last,
A7
she got solar power
Minutes feel like hours
    G#m7
She knew she was the baddest
Can you even imagine fallin'
like I did?
        A7
For the love of my life
          E7
She's got glow on her face
                       Fm7
A glorious look in her eyes
            E7
My angel of light

[Pre-Chorus]
I was all alone
         A7
with the love of my life
          E7
She's got glitter for skin
                       Fm7
My radiant beam in the night
                E7
I don't need no light to see you

[Chorus]
A7
Shine
                 E7
It's your golden hour (Oh, oh)
              A7
You slow down time
               E7 Em
In your golden hour (Oh, oh)

How to play golden hour: key, chords and progression

These are golden hour golden hour chords by JVKE feat Cat Burns on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard.

golden hour by JVKE feat Cat Burns is built around E major (four sharps: F♯, C♯, G♯, D♯), with 5 chords in all: Fm7, E7, A7, G#m7 and Em.

The backbone of the song is A7 – E7 – Fm7 – E7 (IV7 – I7 – ♭ii7 – I7 in E major). Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Good to know: on guitar, Fm7 and G#m7 need a barre or movable shape. Take the change into them slowly at first; piano and ukulele players have it easier.
