How to play God Is Good: key, chords and progression

God Is Good by Jonathan McReynolds is in the key of B♭ major (two flats: B♭, E♭). The song uses 4 chords: Eb, Bb, F and Gm.

The progression the song keeps returning to is Eb – Bb – F – Bb (IV – I – V – I in B♭ major). In solfa, that is fah – doh – soh – doh. Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 3rd fret and play the shapes C, G, D, Em (100% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 0% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
