How to play Pandemic 2020: key, chords and progression

Pandemic 2020 by Joe Medwar is centred on C major (no sharps or flats). The song uses 5 chords: C, Csus2, Am, Dm and G.

The progression the song keeps returning to is C – Csus2 – C – Am (I – Isus2 – I – vi in C major). In solfa, that is doh – doh – doh – lah. Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Beginner-friendly: almost every chord is an open chord on guitar, so you can play it without a capo or barre chords.
