How to play Big City: key, chords and progression

These are the chords for Big City by Gun on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard

Big City by Gun is built around F major (one flat: B♭), with 9 chords in all: C, A, G, F, Dm, Bm, Bb, D5 and C5.

Most of the song cycles through C – A – F – A (V – III – I – III in F major). In solfa, that is soh – mi – doh – mi. Get these 4 changes smooth and the rest comes quickly.

Good to know: on guitar, F, Bm and Bb need a barre or movable shape. Take the change into them slowly at first; piano and ukulele players have it easier.
