INTRO:
Em7 G Cmaj7 G

VERSE:
Em7
Oooh, You know the funny
                   G
little thing about us

Is that we're only here
               Cmaj7
as long as the wind
                                 G
And hey  it might never happen again
But if it does
            Em7
Then girl I knew
                                G
From the second that you walked in
                             Cadd9
That goodbye was just the beginning
                             G
of me wishing on a midnight star
           G
That I'll see you

CHORUS:
              Em7
At some other bar
            Em7
Some other Friday
                  G
At a hole in the wall
              G
Right by the highway
               Cadd9
Or down by the water
             Cadd9
You'll come around
            G
Out of the blue baby
            G
It's going down
                     Em7
And I know when the whiskey pours
You know imma turn around
     G
and watch that door
           Cadd9
Waiting to finish
                            G
What we didn't even get to start
                      Em7 Em7 G
Someday at some othеr bar
 G Cadd9
Oooh, At some other bar
Cadd9 G G

How to play Some Other Bar: key, chords and progression

These are the chords for Some Other Bar by Ernest on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard

Some Other Bar by Ernest keeps coming home to C major (no sharps or flats). You need 5 chords: Em7, G, Cmaj7, Cadd9 and Em.

The progression the song keeps returning to is G – Cadd9 – G – Em7 (V – Iadd9 – V – iii7 in C major). In solfa, that is soh – doh – soh – mi. Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Beginner-friendly: on guitar every chord is an open shape, which makes this a good song to learn early on.
