How to play Silver: key, chords and progression

Silver by DMA’s is built around E major (four sharps: F♯, C♯, G♯, D♯), with 4 chords in all: E, A, C#min and B.

Listen for A – E – B – A (IV – I – V – IV in E major): the song comes back to it again and again. In solfa, that is fah – doh – soh – fah. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 2nd fret and play the shapes D, G, Bm, A (75% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 50% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
