Demi Lovato – Melon Cake Chords on Piano & Ukulele

[Verse 1]
G Em
 There was a time
      D
I was livin' as a prisoner
inside my own mind
G Em
 And there was a time
          D
Where the cat and mouse tried
to make me
Barbie sized and I obliged

[Pre-Chorus]
G
Pulled leather over my eyes,
     Em
in a hundred-degree heat
   D
People, out here gettin' fired for
chocolate in the backseat
(It's a true story)
G
I had too much of my fill and
      Em
turns out it wasn't cheap
   D
People, always hung around to
only want it skin deep

[Chorus]
N.C. G
And now I'm sayin' no more
      A
melon cakеs on birthdays
Bm Em D/F#
No more barricades in doorways
G A
Finally get to do things my way

Ah, la-la, la-la, la
                  G
You could find mе starvin'
      A
for attention most days

Amongst other things, God help me
