How to play Springtime: key, chords and progression

Springtime by Chris Renzema keeps coming home to F major (one flat: B♭). You need 4 chords: F, Bb, Dm and C.

Most of the song cycles through F – Bb – Dm – F (I – IV – vi – I in F major). In solfa, that is doh – fah – lah – doh. Get these 4 changes smooth and the rest comes quickly.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 3rd fret and play the shapes D, G, Bm, A (75% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 50% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
