How to play Manta Rays: key, chords and progression

This is the chords of Manta Rays by Chloe Moriondo on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar and Keyboard.

To play Manta Rays by Chloe Moriondo, think in E major (four sharps: F♯, C♯, G♯, D♯). It takes 4 chords: C#m, B, A and E.

The backbone of the song is C#m – B – A – E (vi – V – IV – I in E major). In solfa, that is lah – soh – fah – doh. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 2nd fret and play the shapes Bm, A, G, D (75% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 50% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
