This is the chord progression of New by Ben Platt on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar and Keyboard.
[Verse 1]
Em G Am
Wish that I’d known this feeling was coming
When I was crying over you
Em G Am
Now that you’re gone, I carry nothing
It feels like flying
[Pre-Chorus]
Em G Am
Boy, I used to throw a party over every little thing you’d do
Never going back, never going back to that
Em G Am
Heartsick little lover boy who went and lost himself in you
‘Cause now I’m feeling so brand
[Chorus]
Em G Am
New, new, new
Em G Am
Oh, I’ve never felt so brand new, new, new
Oh, I’ve never felt so brand
[Verse 2]
Em G Am
I paid a price, worked and I wallowed
Burned all your letters just for fun
Em G Am
All of that time is easy to swallow
Now that I’m better
[Pre-Chorus]
Em
Oh, and somewhere in your room
G Am
I left my virtue and my favorite shoes
I don’t want ’em back, never give ’em back to me
Em G Am
You can walk a mile in ’em, tell me how they feel on you
I’ll be busy being so brand
[Chorus]
Em G Am
New, new, new
Em G Am
Oh, I’ve never felt so brand new, new, new
Oh, I’ve never felt so brand new
[Post-Chorus]
Em G Am
So brand new
Never felt so brand
Em G Am
So brand new
Never felt so brand
[Bridge]
Em G Am
So brand new
Em G Am
So brand new, oh (So brand new)
No, I’ve never felt so brand new
[Chorus]
Em G Am
New, new, new (So brand new)
Em G Am
Oh, I’ve never felt so brand new, new, new (So brand new)
Oh, I’ve never felt so brand new
[Outro]
Em G Am
So brand new
Em
I’ve never felt so brand new
