How to play On My Way: key, chords and progression

These are the chords for On My Way by Avi Kaplan on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard

On My Way by Avi Kaplan keeps coming home to E major (four sharps: F♯, C♯, G♯, D♯). You need 4 chords: E, A, C#m and B.

Listen for C#m – E – A – E (vi – I – IV – I in E major): the song comes back to it again and again. In solfa, that is lah – doh – fah – doh. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 2nd fret and play the shapes D, G, Bm, A (75% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 50% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
