How to play Cant Help Myself: key, chords and progression

Cant Help Myself by Alexandra Savior is written in C major (no sharps or flats) and moves through 8 chords: F, Dm, E, E7, D, Em, C and Cmaj7.

Listen for E7 – F – Dm – E (III7 – IV – ii – III in C major): the song comes back to it again and again. In solfa, that is mi – fah – reh – mi. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Beginner-friendly: on guitar almost every chord is an open shape, which makes this a good song to learn early on.
