How to play Want You Back: key, chords and progression

Want You Back by 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is in the key of A minor (no sharps or flats). The song uses 4 chords: Am, G, Em and F.

The progression the song keeps returning to is Am – G – Em – F (i – VII – v – VI in A minor). Learn these 4 changes first and most of the song falls into place.

Good to know: F is played as barre or movable shapes on guitar. Practise the change into it slowly; on piano and ukulele the same chords are easier.
