Sasha Alex Sloan – 2018 Chords on Piano & Ukulele
How to play 2018: key, chords and progression
2018 by Sasha Alex Sloan is centred on C major (no sharps or flats). The song uses 4 chords: F, C, Em and Fmaj7.
The backbone of the song is F – C – Em – F (IV – I – iii – IV in C major). In solfa, that is fah – doh – mi – fah. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.
Good to know: F is the tricky part on guitar (barre or movable shapes). Slow the change down until it is clean; on piano and ukulele it is simpler.
