How to play Four: key, chords and progression

These are the chords for Four by FAKY on Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard

Four by FAKY sits in G major (one sharp: F♯), and you need 6 chords to play it: Cadd9, G, Dsus4, Em7, Am7 and Bm7.

Listen for Cadd9 – G – Dsus4 – Em7 (IVadd9 – I – Vsus4 – vi7 in G major), a rotation of the four-chord pop progression that starts on the IV chord: the song comes back to it again and again. In solfa, that is fah – doh – soh – lah. Once these 4 changes are comfortable, most of the song is done.

Beginner-friendly: on guitar almost every chord is an open shape, which makes this a good song to learn early on.
