How to play Imagine: key, chords and progression

Imagine by Chris Kläfford is in the key of C major (no sharps or flats). The song uses 8 chords: C, Fmaj7, Am7, Dm, Cadd9, G, F and E7.

Most of the song cycles through F – G – C – E7 (IV – V – I – III7 in C major). In solfa, that is fah – soh – doh – mi. Get these 4 changes smooth and the rest comes quickly.

Beginner-friendly: almost every chord here is an open shape on guitar: no capo, no barre chords needed.
