How to play City Of Angels: key, chords and progression

To play City Of Angels by 24KGoldn, think in E♭ major (three flats: B♭, E♭, A♭). It takes 3 chords: Bb, Ab and G.

The backbone of the song is Bb – Ab – G – Ab (V – IV – III – IV in E♭ major). In solfa, that is soh – fah – mi – fah. Practise these 4 changes until they feel natural and you can play most of it.

Easier on guitar: put a capo on the 1st fret and play the shapes A, G, F# (67% of the chords become easy open shapes, against 33% without a capo). It sounds exactly the same.
