Tips: 5 Ways To Stop Over thinking
We all have problems, with the current situation in the world, country, state, family and our personal lives. We tend to think too much. We mostly spend good amount of time thinking about our problems or sucking around in them. These are steps to stop over thinking and live a free life.
1. Recognize that you have a problem
Can’t stop overthinking things? Recognizing you have a problem is the first step in solving a problem. Acknowledge that you have this problem and consider some of these tips which I’m gonna list out.
2. Always breathe deeply
When you are thinking a little too much take some deep breath and really break down what you’re thinking about. It’ll help relax you. You can even write down your thoughts in notes and see if that helps you make a good choice.
3. Talk less
When we’re occupied with too many thoughts, we tend to want to talk it out. This might not work out as well as you’d like. Some research shows that talking about things you’re overthinking releases cortisol, the stress hormone, that can get you even more worked up.
4. Practice meditation
Meditation is often misunderstood as a strict practice for bhudhist only. You can try it that way, there’s nothing wrong with that, but the best type of meditation for overthinking is meditation that allows your thoughts to roll pleasantly through your mind..
5. Get outside
Nothing makes you more silent and clear your thoughts like a walk through the forest or a bike ride through the city. Get out, get the heart pumping a little bit and mind relaxed. Treat it like meditation. Don’t try to clear your mind but let your thoughts pass through your head at their own pace. Don’t force anything to pass through.
